Information for Presenters

In front of a sunrise, a barbed wire breaks apart and points toward a bird flying free in the sky.
  • Plan ahead for traveling to Fayetteville, Arkansas, if you will be coming to the conference from out of town. Check the “Planning Your Stay and Parking” page of this website for information about making reservations at the Graduate Hotel in Fayetteville, which is within walking distance of the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. Note that Oct. 14th is the deadline to make a reservation at this hotel using the block rate.
  • Remember to submit your registration fee through the online link by no later than Monday, Oct. 24, 2025. (Link can be found on the “Conference Registration” page of this website.) Conference applicants who have been accepted to present a paper must pay their fees by Oct. 24th to be included on the conference program.
  • Check the 2025 APA Conference program, which will be available on this website by the first week of November, to confirm your scheduled day/time to present. You may be presenting any time between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on either Friday, Nov. 14, or Saturday, Nov. 15th. Please note that we cannot schedule presentation times by request but will have to schedule each presentation according to its topic.
  • There will probably be 4-5 sessions of presentations for each day of the conference. Each session of the conference will run 1 hour and 15 minutes; each session will have three panels; and each panel will have three presenters. In order to ensure that each panel allows enough time for each panelist to present and then for the whole panel to answer questions from audience members, each presenter must keep their talk to a strict 20-minute time limit (or less). Please be prepared to keep to your 20 minutes so that you do not go over, impacting the time of the next presenter and/or the amount of Q&A time allowed the whole panel at the end.
  • The conference organizers will designate one member of each panel as the panel’s moderator. Moderators will be e-mailed in advance of the conference to confirm that they are comfortable serving as moderators for their panels. All that will be required of moderators is that they be responsible for introducing themselves and the other members of their panels. (Panel members will be connected with each other through e-mail before the conference.) The panel moderators will also be responsible for keeping time to ensure that each panelist stays within the 20-minute limit and that 15 minutes are preserved for Q&A (for the whole panel) at the end.
  • Finally, the 2025 APA Conference organizers are here to help! If you have any questions as the conference date is approaching, please e-mail us at apa2025@uark.edu, and thank you so much for being a part of this year’s APA Conference! See you in November!!! 🙂
